Mr. Buker's view on tournaments

A native of Canton, Ohio, martial arts instructor, David Buker, holds a 8th Degree black belt in Kenpo karate. He operates American Karate Studios of Boardman, Ohio.

Mr. Buker's competition record includes 148 First Place Fighting Championships

• North American Open Championships in 1976-1979-1980
• Pro-Am Karate Championships in 1975-1976-1977
• Ohio Open Championships in 1973-1974-1975

Mr. Buker was also a P.K.A. kick boxer from 1974 through 1976.

During his career, Mr. Buker has had the honor of teaching and coaching 38 State champions and 17 National champions. He is currently the State Chairman for Referees and Judges for the P.K.C. (Professional Karate Commission).

Mr. Buker hosts the Ohio State Semi-Finals Karate Championships each year in Poland, Ohio during the month of October.
